Besides eating homemade bread, there is perhaps little else as satisfying as making bread from scratch. The best food is a complete sensory experience—bread is the best of the best. Coconut Turmeric Soup

I want Tom Kha…but I just don’t keep galangal, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves on hand (yes, I do have fish sauce, but I bet it is expired). This wonderful soup base packs a good bit of the flavor depth without all the ingredients and technique. You really don’t even have to add things in steps. Just throw everything in a pot and simmer. Still fab!

Shakshuka consists of beautifully poached eggs in a richly seasoned tomato sauce that is just plain good. The fact that this dish couldn’t be easier, takes up one skillet, and looks glamorous…well that’s just bonus.
